About The Position

The Harvard Urban Health Initiative (HUHI) seeks a full-time Program Coordinator to support the growth and day-to-day operations of a new initiative advancing urban health research, policy, and practice. Launched in Fall 2025 and based at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, HUHI works to convene thought leaders, connect decision-makers with scholars and practitioners, catalyze cross-disciplinary research, and curate evidence to help close the gap between knowledge generation and its practical application in cities. We seek a highly motivated early-career professional who is enthusiastic about urban health and eager to help build an initiative in its start-up phase. The role combines operational coordination with substantive engagement in research, communications, convening coordination, and curriculum development. This role offers opportunities to inform real world policies and impact at the city level, learn across disciplines, and connect with a broad range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an evolving environment and energized by helping shape systems and processes as the Initiative grows. You will be joining a small, active, and growing team, reporting directly to the Director and Associate Director.
