The Coordinator for Housing Assignments is part of Housing and Residential Experience in the Student Affairs division at Vanderbilt University and is a key individual contributor serving as a liaison between students, parents, and internal university departments to ensure a positive residential experience and efficient housing operations. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Housing Assignments, the Coordinator for Housing Assignments partners regularly with Residential Experience, Student Care Coordination, the Center for Student Wellbeing, Student Accountability, Community Standards and Academic Integrity, and Student Access on student matters as they pertain to their housing assignment. This is a full-time, exempt, onsite role. Need for evenings/weekends may occasionally be required. Housing Assignments and Operations is responsible for occupancy management of Vanderbilt's on-campus residence halls. Our office works to ensure that students are assigned to housing that best meets their needs through a fair and consistent process. Our team collaborates with various offices inside and outside of Student Affairs including Residential Experience, Housing Facilities, Housing Finance, Student Care Coordination, Center for Student Wellbeing, Student Access Services, and Residential Colleges. In addition, our office works to coordinate numerous logistical efforts including move-in, move-out, and transitions between terms, and is responsible for all aspects of billing within Housing and Residential Experience. Student Affairs serves a central role in student learning and development at Vanderbilt, advancing the University's mission of teaching, research, and service by fostering academic and social networks through which students develop as intentional learners and global citizens.
