About The Position

This entry-level, permanent, part-time (22.5 hours per week) position plays a crucial role in ensuring health & safety compliance within the organization. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of H&S programs and delivering training on safety, health, and wellness topics. Requirements

  • Experience with document control or administrative recordkeeping (preferred within health & safety, quality, or compliance environments).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Word) and document management systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with various document owners.
  • Completion of ICF accredited coach training is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of health & safety program structure is an asset.
  • Experience working in a Christian and/or non-profit organization is an asset.
  • Willingness to complete coach training is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain workplace first aid resources, including supplies, facilities, designated first aid attendant duties, and naloxone program administration.
  • Maintain inventory of first aid supplies for all UGM locations, conduct regular inspections, replenish supplies, and coordinate procurement and replacement of equipment.
  • Serve as a designated Occupational First Aid Attendant, provide first aid treatment, maintain certification, and participate in emergency response activities.
  • Administer UGM's naloxone program by obtaining, distributing, and replacing supplies; coordinate training, maintain records, and monitor certification requirements.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date health and safety documentation, records, training information, and audit materials.
  • Maintain the central repository of H&S documents, implement version control, publish revised documents, and ensure consistent storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, certifications, orientations, inspections, preventive maintenance logs, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain audit-related files, supporting digital and physical file organization during audits.
  • Ensure bulletin boards, SharePoint Hub sites, and internal communication platforms contain current health and safety materials.
  • Provide administrative support for safety meetings, training sessions, and JHSC activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
