About The Position

In this role the Funding Program Coordinator directly supports EVgo’s ability to secure and execute on the public, utility, and private equity funding that enables crucial expansion of much needed nationwide electric vehicle fast charging infrastructure, accelerating transportation electrification across the US. Success in the first year looks like independently managing reporting cycles, confidently coordinating cross-functional inputs and outputs, and becoming a trusted execution partner to the Funding Program Managers. This individual will deliver vital administrative and operational support across the lifecycle of public, utility, and loan-based funding programs, assisting in preparing proposals and managing the compliance, deliverables, and reporting aspects of funded projects. They will collaborate closely with EVgo’s operations, finance, legal, technical, and engineering teams to ensure adherence to grant stipulations, help maintain project timelines, and provide required documentation. Key responsibilities include assisting with assembly of grant applications, program reporting, data updates, submitting reimbursement requests, supporting project management tasks, updating partner portals, and aiding in the optimization of internal processes. The Coordinator will also support programmatic relationships with partners and funding agencies. Candidates for this position should have strong communication skills, be able to assist in identifying and navigating technical, regulatory, and funding challenges, and support the funding program’s goals. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple data systems, enjoys understanding and improving how information flows, and can spot opportunities to simplify reporting, tracking, and documentation through better tooling or automation. This role offers exposure to the inner workings of company level public funding strategy development, policy strategy, large-scale infrastructure deployment, and complex data systems supporting cross-functional efforts across the company, with opportunities to grow into increased responsibility over time. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills to help drive effective cross-functional teamwork and (internal and external) stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in working with data, spreadsheets, trackers, and shared software systems for project management and customer relationship management (strong preference for experience in Salesforce and Confluence).
  • Ability to work independently, with discipline, keen attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and priority-driven.
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic industry and changing company and/or team needs.
  • Positive and enthusiastic energy, ideally with strong interest in sustainability topics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for awarded grant, utility, and loan funding programs.
  • Participate in the cadence of regular reporting to external funding administrators for the duration of the funding program operating period, including:
  • Pulling information and reports from internal data systems and teams.
  • Assembling, formatting, and quality-checking those documents to ensure readiness for submission to the funders (e.g. monthly and quarterly data reports and invoices)
  • Assist with the submission of funding reimbursement packets, and coordinate revisions with the Accounting team as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (field operations, data IT, project management, grid integration, development engineering, accounting, legal, software, hardware) to gather information, verify contract compliance, ensure status reports are up to date, and improve cross-functional processes.
  • Support contract negotiations and execution, including documentation management and collaboration with legal and accounting teams.
  • Collaborate with Funding Program Managers as they identify and reset priorities, strategies, and needs.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for preparing and submitting new funding applications for public grants and utility funding programs.
  • Assist in the assembly and formatting of grant application packages and required attachments for state and utility funding programs, potentially including qualitative RFP responses.
  • Assist in the creation and dissemination of funding program “launch” materials, and help deliver updates on program design impacts.
  • Support the public funding team in scheduling and attending mandatory meetings, taking and distributing notes, and following up on outstanding action items with internal and external partners.
  • Help maintain, streamline, and update existing shared information repositories in Confluence and Salesforce.
  • Pull required data and documentation from identified systems such as Sharepoint, Salesforce, and Confluence.
  • Communicate opportunities for enhanced efficiency in data management systems as they relate to funding program applications and management, including potential automations and AI integrations.
