If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Coordinator to join our team at our Brantford, ON bakery. As an FSQA Coordinator, you will be accountable for maintaining and improving food safety and quality programs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, and customer standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or relevant post-secondary education in a science-related field
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) training or certification
  • Experience with GFSI standards (e.g., BRC, SQF)
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Minitab
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance programs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance bakery FSQA programs to ensure compliance with corporate and customer requirements
  • Analyze QA data (holds, non-conformances, foreign material) to identify trends and drive corrective actions
  • Coordinate microbiological and environmental testing programs to verify food safety and sanitation effectiveness
  • Support new product development, including specifications, labeling, and program updates
  • Conduct QA audits and ensure compliance with documentation and record-keeping requirements
  • Manage customer and certification requirements, including Kosher audits and database systems (e.g., SPEQ)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement in food safety, quality, and production processes
