About The Position

Are you passionate about making a difference at the intersection of behavioral health and the criminal justice system? Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) is seeking a Forensic Program Coordinator to lead our Forensic Response Team for individuals facing both criminal charges and behavioral health challenges. Our team is comprised of experienced mental health professionals who understand the complexities of the justice system and are committed to providing respect, dignity, and support to those navigating these challenges.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills with law enforcement, courts, and correctional facilities.
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Justice System and its main components.
  • Ability to document in an electronic health record system.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Bucks County and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (with or without accommodation).

Responsibilities

  • Represent Lenape Valley Foundation as an ambassador for our mission in forensic‑related matters, establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with, county judges, law enforcement agencies, the Bucks County Office of Behavioral Health and Developmental Programs, and additional criminal justice and community partners.
  • Lead and support administrative and program staff within the Forensic Response Team.
  • Oversee staffing responsibilities, including recruitment, retention, and performance monitoring.
  • Promote, educate, and market the Forensic Response Team’s services to potential referral sources and community stakeholders.
  • Participate in the supervisory on‑call rotation for the forensic and crisis programs, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Travel throughout Bucks County to meet with individuals in the community, including courts, correctional facilities, and partner agencies.
  • Serve as a mental health and dual diagnosis liaison for individuals involved in the criminal justice system whose charges are related to unmet behavioral health and/or psychological needs.
  • Conduct Level of Care evaluations to determine appropriate treatment recommendations and service pathways.
  • Complete referrals, coordinate care, and provide ongoing time-limited case management support to ensure continuity and quality of services for individuals referred to the program.
  • Assist with competency evaluations by gathering and reviewing information from criminal justice, mental health, education, and healthcare systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, uphold regulatory and organizational standards, and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay informed on regulations and opportunities to expand forensic services.
