Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Coordinator for Student Conduct (Ethics). This position is responsible for the investigation and adjudication of alleged violations of the Savannah State University Code of Ethics; develops sanctions which promote personal and educational development, and maintains University standards. Serves as a resource person to administrators, faculty and students regarding general and special conduct issues and assists in incurring University-wide compliance to the policies and procedures outlined in the Code of Student Ethics. Reviews and resolves and annual caseload of student academic and social misconduct violations; maintains records and files of disciplinary cases in keeping with applicable University policies and state/federal laws. Educates campus community regarding Code of Student Ethics and University expectations for student behavior; serves on committees and task forces. Collaborate with various campus offices in addressing alleged misconduct; develops, implements and monitors developmentally appropriate education sanctions. Promotes, coordinates and enhances appreciation for responsible behavior and good citizenship; trains select faculty, staff and students for the judicial board; conducts programming and presentations throughout campus on ethical issues; handles special projects. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
