About The Position

Counsel and advise current and prospective students and parents on all aspects of the financial aid process. Serve as Foreign Credential Liaison. Review all foreign educational documents to ensure complete accuracy prior to submission to a third-party evaluator, conduct outreach to students with missing information needed to complete their foreign credential evaluations, and edit records in Banner after third-party evaluation is complete. Manage the email account, respond to all inquiries regarding foreign education, and maintain a working knowledge of commonly received foreign educational documents. Make decisions regarding student financial aid eligibility while adhering to all Federal Title IV regulations, state statutes, and institutional policies. Participate in and lead outreach initiatives within the JCCC community and externally with high schools and partner organizations. Maintain working knowledge of all Federal Title IV, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures. Attend required meetings and applicable professional development training sessions. Provide feedback regarding possible improvements to financial aid processes and procedures. Perform general office duties, such as providing front desk coverage, answering incoming calls, and assisting with virtual chat/email inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in financial aid
  • Customer Service Experience
