About The Position

The ECMO Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, training, and leadership of technical staff. This role also encompasses quality control and improvement, equipment surveillance and maintenance, and patient data and ELSO Registry management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced knowledge of ECMO Physiology, modes, equipment, techniques, troubleshooting, and all related procedures.
  • Expert understanding of coagulation, pertinent disease processes, pharmacology, hematology as related to ECMO and circuit.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead an interdisciplinary team through a critical situation while remaining professional.
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida OR RRT.
  • BLS
  • 3-5 years of Critical Care experience

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS Preferred
  • CCRN
  • ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist RRT)
  • Advanced Critical Care ECMO experience
