About The Position

This position will lead and execute strategic digital and print communications initiatives that align with Longhorn Foundation marketing, engagement, fundraising, and member solicitation efforts. Develop and deliver compelling, multi-channel campaigns that engage more than 26,000 Longhorn Foundation members, strengthening donor relationships and advancing philanthropic support for Texas Athletics. This position will also serve as the primary liaison between the Longhorn Foundation and the Marketing & Creative Services team, driving the development of innovative fundraising communications, donor-focused storytelling, and integrated marketing strategies. Collaborate across departments to maximize the reach, effectiveness, and impact of Texas Athletics communications while enhancing the donor experience and supporting revenue-generating objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years’ experience in marketing, communications or related functions in higher education, non-profit, and/or intercollegiate athletics.
  • Experience in executing strategic marketing and communications efforts including email marketing, social media, web and print campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in the field.
  • Experience with project management and ability to create light graphical elements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment where a project’s success is determined by both the individual and team’s efforts.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of excellence.
  • Superior communications skills, including verbal and written.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Driving Required: This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license.
  • The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence.
  • If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
  • Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years’ experience in executing marketing and communications efforts specifically for development and fundraising in higher education and/or collegiate athletics.
  • Experience designing and producing written materials for donor audiences.
  • A familiarity with Texas Athletics internal and external constituents.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Adobe Suite software.
  • Project management software familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy for the Longhorn Foundation, focusing on increasing awareness of Foundation priorities, philanthropic interests and engagement with Texas Athletics across various platforms.
  • Create, implement, and manage the creation of content and stories, including but not limited to email marketing, social media, video and print materials, as well as writing, editing and managing content, graphics and stories for the Longhorn Foundation website.
  • Ensure that new content is produced on a consistent basis.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy for the Longhorn Foundation social media accounts, creating interesting and engaging daily content for followers and working to significantly grow and increase total impressions each year.
  • Use analytics for reporting and produce data-driven insights that inform future strategy, campaigns and initiatives.
  • Lead creative communications initiatives for the Longhorn Foundation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative services in the development of graphic design needs for print and digital collateral, web and video content, newsletters and digital media.
  • Work in coordination with creative services unit to establish and maintain Longhorn Foundation brand guidelines.
  • Partner with the Annual Fund team to assist with the execution of the annual giving calendar and all ticket-related communications.
  • Support all donor relations and special events with event invitation, RSVP and other related communications development and management.
  • Serve as project manager for all creative projects and Foundation's email marketing.
  • Partners with the email marketing team to ensure timely delivery of all email for the Foundation.
  • Assist with gameday hospitality and special events as necessary.
  • Assist with scripting speaking points, speech writing, presentations, and public announcements.
  • Assist T Association with communications, marketing, and social media.
  • Other related functions as assigned.

  • Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income.
  • Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.
  • Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.
