The coordinator is responsible for all day-to-day responsibilities of their site, including staffing, parent communication, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with state requirements and all Munson Healthcare (MHC) policies. This role manages the Children’s Educational Services by addressing the specific and unique needs of the children, parents, and staff. Quality care is promoted through the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children. The coordinator communicates, relates, and interacts effectively with all children, parents, and staff, while maintaining confidentiality of information and records. They respond to parents/children’s questions, concerns, and needs effectively and timely. The coordinator will collaborate with the MHC Child Development Manager on developing goals and objectives for the Child Development Department, and will be responsible to develop, implement, and evaluate program policies. This role will operate the Child Development programs within budgetary parameters and is responsible for maintaining Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) standards. The coordinator oversees program compliance with Head Start, Early Head Start, and Great Start Readiness Program, and collaborates with other Child Development related agencies for program compliance and implementation. They participate in strengthening relationships with community collaborative efforts in the area of Early Childhood, and oversee all budgetary and financial parameters related to grant-based partnerships. Additionally, the coordinator acts as a mentor for new MHC Child Development department programs related to grant-based partnerships and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating each staff member. Performs all other duties as assigned.
