About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Athletics Communication. This position serves as the primary media contact for Men's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Track & Field, and Cross Country, playing a key role in promoting the achievements of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate media appearances for assigned sports coaching staff and players and supervise all media personnel working at Florida Atlantic University athletic home events.
  • Travel to away contests and coordinate media appearances for coaching staff and players while on the road
  • Maintain the statistical archives and records for all assigned sports.
  • Work with the external arm of the athletics department, in conjunction with the respective sports’ coaching staffs, to create and distribute engaging social media content across multiple platforms
  • Produce news releases and feature content for the FAU athletics website.
  • Maintain the photo database for all external team members to use efficiently
  • Oversee the scheduling of student assistants at home events for assigned sports.
  • Complete other departmental job-related tasks as assigned by the Deputy AD/Brand & Communications.
