About The Position

This position will serve as Facilities & Operations Coordinator for all of Drexel's Athletic and Recreational facilities. This person works under the supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities & Operations to meet and fulfill the mission and responsibility of managing these facilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in collegiate/athletic facilities and events.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects/assignments.
  • Knowledge and experience in facility maintenance work order systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as game day manager for designated intercollegiate athletic events.
  • Act as Facility Manager for Men’s and Women’s Basketball home events, collaborating with student staff, officials, visiting team, public safety, police, ambulance services and university facilities during events.
  • Perform bi-weekly facility checks of the Daskalakis Athletic Center, Recreation Center, Vidas Athletic Complex and Outdoor Recreational Facilities.
  • Document and report all maintenance/custodial issues through the University's Work Order system.
  • Work with the Trades Managers of the Facilities department on custodial, maintenance, and grounds related issues for the Athletic & Recreational facilities.
  • Maintain inventory control and issuance of keys for Athletic Department Staff.
  • Provide oversight of purchasing/inventory control of all facility signage including office name plates and directional signage.
  • Maintain inventory control and detailed records of all athletic and facility equipment, assisting with the purchasing process of new equipment.
  • Ensure storage closets are organized and equipped with needed supplies.
  • Act as liaison for third-party cable provider and work with department staff issues on reported issues.
  • Work directly with the University’s surplus manager in selling old athletic equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge and adherence to all University & Athletic Department policies and NCAA rules.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Benefits

  • Compensation for this grade ranges from $39,440 - $59,160 per year.
