Requirements

• Graduate-prepared nurse with background in nursing education, clinical staff development, and teaching.
• Active, valid licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Two or more years of recent nursing experience.
• Previous charge nurse and/or supervisory experience.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) other applicable resuscitation credential depending on specialty area (ACLS/PALS/NRP)

Nice To Haves

• DNP, PhD/DNSc, or equivalent.
• Two or more years of teaching experience in an academic nursing program.
• Academic preparation in curriculum development, teaching methodologies and supervised teaching practicum.
• Nurse educator or nursing professional development certification.
• Evidence of teaching excellence, experience in patient care, and involvement in other scholarly and/or other creative activities.
• Academic and clinical teaching experience.
• Experience teaching in online and/or hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Serves at the leader of the Dedicated Education Unit(s) and related clinical experiences to provide oversight of Northside Adjunct faculty and students.
• Serves as the liaison between Northside Hospital and academic partner schools.
