About The Position

The Coordinator, Academic Affairs is responsible for academic administrative activities and processes. The position provides procedural advice on routine and non-routine situations to support operations and decision-making; and has primary responsibility for several related processes and systems. The position is responsible for coordinating complex administrative processes; conducting research to support operations and decision making; gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from various sources; responding to queries from faculty and senior leadership, and supporting the implementation of best practices. The ideal candidate is a person who works well independently but is also able to collaborate with colleagues for quick resolution of issues. They are interested in working with policy and will be able to use it to make informed decisions in their work. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to successfully convey complex ideas. The person will want to provide outstanding service and will be prepared to respond to complex or difficult questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline, and one year of related experience in the coordination of complex administrative processes, and working with senior level administrators, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of post-secondary academic and administrative policies, procedures, and services.
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, understand and apply policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and exercise initiative, diplomacy, and discretionary judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and work collaboratively and effectively with others.
