About The Position

Leads the district’s summative assessment program including but not limited to STAAR, TELPAS, and College assessment programs. Supports campuses in their implementation of assessment requirements, organizes assessment program supports, creates and implements training for assessments, responds to incidents and test security with the highest level of integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3+ years’ experience with Texas public school district summative assessment programs including the state and national assessments.
• HISD Connect, Microsoft Office
• Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
• TEA’s vendor platform

• Leads through influence with campus test coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Supports the district’s strategic direction for the district Summative Assessment department
• Creates and leads training for each of the assessment programs including on demand support for campuses during the assessment windows.
• Supports the Director in ensuring all incidents and security claims are handled in alignment with law and with integrity.
• Works with other department staff to ensure alignment with the student assessment strategy and program district-wide.
• Communicates effectively with the Texas Education Agency, and HISD department staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
