About The Position

MS NOW is looking for an experienced Coordinating Producer for The Moment with Katy Tur, airing weekdays from 2PM - 4PM. This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

Requirements

Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Must have at least 5 years of experience in live television, preferably as a Line and/or Segment Producer
Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
Experienced writing scripts at the network or cable level
Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.

Responsibilities

Oversee rundown management, live reporter requests and more as Line Producer
Assist the Anchor, Executive Producer and Senior Producers in the supervision of the editorial vision of each day, including suggesting stories and guests for the shows
Write show scripts including news "readers," breaking news updates, teases, and more
Serve as main back-up Senior Producer
Supervise and copy edit segment producers’ scripts
Facilitate rapid on-air reporting in breaking news
Originate story ideas
Determine video and sound for assigned segments
Assists in coordination of cross-platform large news events and special coverage
