The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Expert Technician is responsible for performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision hand tools, Hexagon PC-DMIS CMMs, and FARO Laser Arm equipment to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

2-year college degree or formal technical training.
Knowledge of PC-DMIS is required.
Experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Must have experience with complex machined components.
Knowledge of manual inspection techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and work with CAD models.
Experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliant)

Nice To Haves

Utilize FARO Laser Arm equipment and PolyWorks software (preferred) to support inspection and measurement activities.

Responsibilities

Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS measurement software.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on complex machined components.
Conduct dimensional inspections using precision hand tools including micrometers, calipers, height gages, gage pins, gage blocks, and thread gages.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, detail drawings, and sectional views.
Utilize FARO Laser Arm equipment and PolyWorks software (preferred) to support inspection and measurement activities.
Ensure parts meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements through accurate inspection and documentation procedures.
