Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC Technology , Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Building Automation/Controls, Electrical or Electromechanical Technology, or a similar technical discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems.
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for data tracking.
  • Experience using basic hand tools, reading wiring diagrams, and using a Volt/Ohm meter.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and data systems.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a "team-ish" setting; we value personality and cultural fit as much as technical skill set.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the capacity to self-direct.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and instrument split systems in psychrometric and/or sound & vibration rooms.
  • Modify and fabricate test units and test setups as directed by responsible engineers or master technicians.
  • Monitor active tests approximately 60% of the time via specialized lab software and computer systems.
  • Perform mechanical installation and hands-on laboratory work approximately 40% of the time.
  • Aid in managing various inventories and fill in for senior project technicians as needed to execute critical test plans.
