Nestle in Springville, Utah manufactures Stouffer's Frozen Food. Nestle is hiring for a Cookstand Operator This location has six production lines producing food 6 days per week w/ two 10 hrs shifts daily.

Requirements

  • Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to read basic/standard English words and sentences to understand signs, policies, procedures, safety rules.
  • Must be able to speak and understand basic/standard words and sentences in English to obtain and relay information on policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to speak and understand basic/standard words and sentences to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others a collaboration as a team.

Nice To Haves

  • 90 days of food manufacturing experience working in a Nestle factory preferred

Responsibilities

  • Obtains all equipment and sets temperatures, speeds, and controls as per recipe standards. Understands all controls and functions of each.
  • Checks all prepped items for correct ingredients, weights, temperatures, odors, colors, flavor, foreign material, etc.
  • Ensures that the line will have sauce at all times. Maintains adequate supply of ingredients, film, and pictorials to keep all aspects of operations functioning at maximum capacity.
  • Monitors all operations (cooking, cooling, mixing, filling, etc.).
  • Ensures that paperwork and documentation is complete and accurate and employees on the cook stand follow the recipe at all times.
  • Assists in determining sauce yields to assist in countdowns when necessary.
  • Participates in taste panel evaluation.
  • Ensures area is kept clean and is ready to go for the following shift (returns all equipment, food, etc. as required).
  • Maintains confidential information on recipes.
  • Understands and follows requirements for setting up production line in a timely manner.
  • Checks ingredients issued for quality and quantity.
  • Follows recipe when preparing ingredients.
  • Labels ingredients and completes all paperwork.
  • Ensures proper rotation sequence of ingredients, pans, v-mags, etc.
  • Understands and follows all mid-shift and end of shift procedures regarding food storage, WIP, paperwork, housekeeping, etc.
  • Performs all job responsibilities on the cook stand for cook supply, mixer, and cook as needed. Operates mix controls and monitors all operations at one time (i.e. mixing, pumping, filling, etc.).
  • Models the Springville Compass in all work-related activities.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
