About The Position

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is recruiting experienced Cooks and Food Service Workers for a long-term care nursing facility in Cortland, NY. This role involves preparing meals according to standardized recipes, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, serving meals, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Dietary Aide duties include meal preparation, delivering trays, dishwashing, trash disposal, and cleaning equipment and work areas. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!

Nice To Haves

1-year long-term care, hospital, or healthcare experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness.
Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of meals, beverages, and snacks.
Delivering trays and carts to resident floors and dining rooms
Assembling resident meal trays.
Working in the dish room and pot sink
Sweeping and mopping.
Disposal of trash and recyclables
Follow proper cleaning techniques of all kitchen equipment and work areas.
