About The Position

As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies, you will be a vital part of our bakery operations, blending the roles of a baker, hospitality expert, and late-night hero. You will be responsible for creating a positive experience for our customers, whether by welcoming them into the bakery, preparing delicious treats, or ensuring timely and accurate delivery orders. Our bakeries operate at a fast pace, especially during evening and late-night hours, and every team member plays a crucial role in delivering warm cookies, friendly service, and perfectly packed orders. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with a team, thrive in energetic environments, and find satisfaction in making someone's day sweeter.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Ability to read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable.
• Prepare, bake, and package warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards.
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift.
• Assist teammates and help keep the line moving by restocking supplies or performing other necessary tasks.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with the Shift Leader when needed.
• Deliver an exceptional experience that fosters customer loyalty.
