About The Position

Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Cook to join our cafeteria team. The position of cook; with dishwashing responsibilities provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• 2 Years Institutional Cooking.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certificate

Responsibilities

• Practices Serve Safe Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe is practiced at all times.
• Prepares catering functions and consistently maintains quality by ensuring catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered
• Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time and are ready on time for tray line.
• Ensures proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu
