About The Position
High Point Residence Salem North is seeking a dependable and passionate Part-Time Cook to join our team. In this role, you will prepare and serve meals that are not only nutritious but also enjoyable for our residents. You will work closely with the dietary team to ensure meals meet all dietary requirements and preferences, while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization. Your attention to detail and love for cooking will help create a positive dining experience for our residents each day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and regulations
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting
- Experience with menu planning and inventory ordering
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Collaborate with the dietary team on menu planning and meal preparation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations
- Assist with special events and catering as needed
