About The Position

This role is for a Cook at a Senior Care Center, offering a full-time position. The Cook will be a valued part of the care team, responsible for preparing meals for residents. The company emphasizes a strong team culture, schedule stability, and excellent benefits.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of two years in high volume food preparation, or equivalent training, preferred, though we are willing to train the right person.
  • "Safe-Serve" manager certification, or willingness to enroll in HACCP training, required.
  • Must be eligible for a Colorado Driver’s License; valid Colorado Driver’s License required within six (6) months of employment and maintained current thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years in high volume food preparation, or equivalent training, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Culinary Director with preparation of meals served in a high quality manner that reflect positively on the department and facility.
  • Serve meals and snacks in a timely manner.
  • Assist with required documentation.
  • Help with menu planning in order to promote food quality and variety.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, as well as rotation and cleanliness of storage areas.
  • Improve professional knowledge and competence by attending educational opportunities requested by Culinary director.
  • Help to train new employees.
  • Evaluate menu items to ensure proper quantities are served in accordance with requirements.
