About The Position
At Villa St. Francis, a non-profit community in Olathe and a division of Catholic Community Health, we are seeking full-time cooks. We take pride in the care we give to our residents and in the way we treat our staff. We adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook or chef
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
