About The Position

This role involves preparing a variety of food items using different cooking methods and operating various kitchen equipment. The cook will also be responsible for maintaining ingredient levels, restocking stations, ensuring a sanitary and organized work area, adhering to safety and health codes, and demonstrating proper care and knowledge of tools, equipment, and food products. Effective communication with team members and assisting with other assigned duties are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Competent product knowledge by correct storing and handling of all perishables.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, sauté, broil, fry, bake, and grill food items in accordance with kitchen needs.
  • Operate grill, fryer, broiler, oven, and French top in accordance with kitchen needs.
  • Perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner.
  • Ensure ingredient supply levels are accurate.
  • Move items from shelves to carts and transport them to assigned stations for restocking.
  • Maintain the required part of food items in their assigned station from support areas throughout the property.
  • Maintain a sanitary and organized work area.
  • Understand and regularly maintain proper safety and health codes and regulations.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are clean and free of debris.
  • Demonstrate proper care, storage, use, and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrate competent product knowledge by correct storing and handling of all perishables, maintaining quality, security, values, and integrity.
  • Prepare food products according to standard recipes and specifications and demonstrate positive responses to training by chefs.
  • Effectively communicate with other team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with any other job-related duties that may be assigned.
