About The Position

Golf Ranch is looking for a part-time Cook to join their team. This role is crucial in enhancing the food and beverage experience by ensuring efficient preparation, safe food handling, and high-quality service during busy periods. While the offerings are casual, the kitchen operates with professional standards, and the ideal candidate will take pride in their culinary craft, demonstrating knowledge of food temperatures, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing excellent food that encourages repeat business.

Requirements

  • Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant or high-volume food service environment
  • Current Texas Food Handler and TABC certifications (required)
  • Solid knife skills and comfort with portioning, basic prep, and sandwich assembly
  • Availability to work 35–40 hours per week, including every weekend, plus some evenings and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Work the line during high-volume shifts, cooking menu items to spec and to proper temperature
  • Handle knives safely for prep work including cutting produce, portioning proteins, and building sandwiches
  • Set up and break down your station, keeping ingredients stocked and service-ready
  • Communicate clearly with teammates during rushes to keep tickets moving
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, checking quantities, quality, and temperatures against invoices and flagging any issues to site leadership
  • Rotate product using FIFO and properly label, date, and store items
  • Execute daily prep lists so the kitchen is stocked and ready before doors open
  • Ensure stations, surfaces, tools, and equipment stay sanitized throughout the shift
  • Follow all Texas food safety standards, including proper holding temps, cross-contamination prevention, and allergen awareness
  • Complete opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties as assigned
