Requirements
- Graduate of culinary school or have 1 to 2 years cooking experience in a health care setting, restaurant or dining facility.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and food safety practices
- Is dependable and adaptable to a variety of kitchen settings
Nice To Haves
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, hotel, or institutional setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
- Set up and organize your workstation before meal service
- Cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Prepare ingredients and plan for upcoming meal periods
- Maintain proper food labeling, dating, rotation, and storage
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
- Communicate inventory needs and product concerns with the Chef on Duty
- Complete cleaning and closing duties
- Work collaboratively with fellow cooks and dining team members to provide an exceptional dining experience
