About The Position
The Seminole Classic Casino, a pioneer in Indian gaming since 1979, has evolved into a major casino featuring over 1,000 slot machines and live table games. It also boasts the Hollywood Hall entertainment pavilion and the Stage Bar with nightly live entertainment, alongside dining options like Slice, Mojoe, and Flying Cow. The casino emphasizes a philosophy of treating every visitor as a Guest, akin to having a Guest in one's home, and is committed to providing unparalleled service. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests, primarily through fry cook duties and assisting other kitchen staff in the efficient operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to prepare stocks and soups.
- Ability to prepare all varieties of fry cook foods.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Previous prep and fry cook experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Culinary Arts Degree or recognized apprenticeship experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides superior customer service, positively affects interactions with customers and employees.
- Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, choppers, slicers, mixers and grinders, and fryers.
- Assist with preparation of food.
- Assists all stations and respective lines as necessary.
- Ensures that items are fully stocked and equipment is in good working condition.
- Ensures the proper storing of any foods, including those from a previous function.
- Ensures the proper closing down of work stations.
- Ensures cleanliness of working area; reports all equipment for safety failures, hazardous areas and accidents.
- Ability to inspect and maintain all areas for which responsible.
- Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.
- Ability to lift, move and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
