About The Position
Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to join their team. The Cook is responsible for preparing meals in a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have a valid NYS drivers license
- 2-3 years of prior cooking experience is required
- Ability to follow recipes, food safety procedures, and production schedules
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 4-50 lbs.
- Must pass all required background checks
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes
- Ensure all food is cooked and held at proper temperatures
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and service during meal periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisor of supply needs
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly
- Comply with all federal, state, and local health regulations, as well as school and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and cafeteria staff
