The Cook position at Atrium Health Stanly is a full-time role within the Food and Nutrition department. The Cook is responsible for reviewing menus, assembling food supplies and equipment for daily food production, and preparing assigned menu items according to recipes and production methods. This role also involves completing daily production records, ensuring food is prepared correctly by tasting, smelling, and using a thermometer, and properly labeling, dating, and storing leftovers. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 pounds. There may be exposure to temperature extremes, minor cuts, bruises, scalds, infectious diseases, and body fluids.
