About The Position

This is a part-time Cook position located in PONCA CITY, OK 74601. The role involves preparing menu items according to recipes, ensuring food is cooked and seasoned properly, and testing food before serving. The cook will also be responsible for managing food orders, packaging food for sale, maintaining equipment, keeping the work area clean, and monitoring oven temperatures. Additionally, the position may require serving as a Utility Worker for both Cook and Cashier roles. The work schedule includes evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate must be able to obtain an Oklahoma ABLE License.

Requirements

Knowledge of the basic skills involved in cooking
Knowledge of how to prepare recipes offered by the establishment
Knowledge of how to use pans, knives, grills and other cooking equipment
Must have self-confidence to be comfortable with all persons
Must possess the ability to be flexible
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Ability to integrate into a team
Must be able to obtain Oklahoma ABLE License

Responsibilities

Cook and prepare the provided menu items
Sanitize food preparation and serving areas
Stir or turn foods to ensure even cooking
Cook and season food according to recipes
Test foods before servicing to determine if they have been sufficiently cooked
Figure out what quantity of food will be needed for a specified period
Place orders for food supplies when available food is getting low
Package foods for selling
Ensure that the equipment is always in the right condition; report to employer when any fault occurs
Keep work areas clean and monitor oven temperatures
Perform other tasks as employer requires
Serve as a Utility Worker for both Cook and Cashier
