About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for our residents, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and special dietary needs. You will maintain a clean and organized kitchen, follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures, and collaborate with dietary staff and other departments to ensure timely and enjoyable meal service. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our residents through their culinary contributions.

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Able to follow recipes and instructions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to food safety.
• Compassionate and respectful toward older adults.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to the menu.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and special diet requirements.
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appealing, and resident-friendly.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food supplies.
• Work closely with dietary staff and other departments.
• Help ensure meals are ready and served on time.
• Listen to residents’ needs and help make mealtime an enjoyable experience.
