About The Position

As a Cook at Devereux, you will prepare all food items, manage food services operations, and ensure that the food service area remains clean, orderly, and sanitized in an institutional setting. You will follow federal and state guidelines in the planning, preparing, and serving of meals to individuals served. This is a full-time position located in Goleta, CA, with a schedule of 9 am-5:30 pm, offering some flexibility. Devereux is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country, providing therapeutic behavioral health treatment services.

Requirements

High School Diploma required
Must possess or be willing to obtain food safety certification
Minimum two years of experience, preferably in a similar setting
Free of dependency or abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substance
Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 25 lbs. or more

Nice To Haves

Educational requirements will be waived if candidate can demonstrate five (5) years’ experience in food service, preferably in an institutional setting.
