Requirements

  • Food Handler’s Certification (required)
  • Strong organizational abilities, a team mindset, and excellent customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare or institutional food prep preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hot meals, cold items, baked goods, and therapeutic diet options using UMH-standard recipes
  • Ensure meals are plated correctly and delivered on time to patients, staff, and visitors
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety throughout kitchen operations
  • Follow HACCP procedures and assist with temperature logs, sanitation, and inventory
  • Collaborate with dietitians and kitchen staff to meet modified diet needs
  • Support catering for events and assist with deliveries as needed
