About The Position
Heritage Woods of Freeport is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join their team in Freeport, IL. The Cook will be responsible for preparing a diverse menu that accommodates various dietary preferences and restrictions, while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. This role involves maintaining food service areas, engaging with residents compassionately, and participating in continuous learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Must hold current ServSafe Manager certification
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
Responsibilities
- Prepares a diverse menu that incorporates a variety of dietary preferences and accommodates for various restrictions
- Demonstrates dedication to high-quality dietary services while ensuring compliance to safety and sanitation protocols
- Maintains food service areas including the kitchen and dining areas
- Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
- Participates in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences
