Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1 - 2 years Cooking in a Restaurant or Hospital
  • Strong communication (both oral and written), and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read well and write legibly.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares foods for patient trayline and cafeteria in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepares foods for patient trayline and cafeteria in accordance with production sheets and standardized recipes to ensure foods meet established quality and quantity standards.
  • Maintains the cooking area in a neat, orderly, and sanitary manner.
  • Documents on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) temperature log sheets in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Offers suggestions to enhance systems, processes work methods, and recipe development for production.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
