About The Position

We are hiring experienced Cooks to join a hospital Food & Nutrition Services team. If you have professional kitchen experience and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for food quality and safety, this is a great opportunity! Requirements

Professional cooking experience required.
Strong basic culinary and knife skills.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established food preparation standards.
Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling procedures.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a hospital, hotel, restaurant, banquet, or other high-volume kitchen is preferred.
Previous healthcare food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, menus, and standards.
Perform food preparation, including chopping, cutting, portioning, and other kitchen prep duties.
Prepare meals for patients, staff, and other hospital customers as assigned.
Set up and maintain an organized cooking station.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Maintain proper food temperatures and follow temperature-control procedures.
Ensure food is prepared and handled according to dietary and nutritional requirements.
Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations clean and organized.
Work efficiently during busy meal service periods.
Communicate with other members of the Food & Nutrition Services team to ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
Perform other related kitchen duties as assigned.
