About The Position
This position involves cooking and preparing food for various outlets within the casino. The Cook will actively participate with staff in cooking, preparing, dishing-up, and assembling all food items. Adherence to control procedures for food costs and quality is essential, as is compliance with all health codes and hand washing guidelines. The role requires preparing food items according to standard recipes and menus to ensure product consistency for guests, and preparing mise en place items to coincide with menus. Employees may also be assigned to other Food & Beverage positions requiring the same type of license.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of one-year experience in food preparation and food knowledge
- Must complete all required company training
Responsibilities
- Operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles
- Cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all outlets food
- Adhere to control procedure for food costs and quality
- Abide by all health codes and hand washing guidelines
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of product to the guest
- Prepare mise en place items for preparations to coincide with menus
- Perform any other assigned duties and responsibilities
- May be assigned to work in other Food & Beverage positions that require the same type of license
