About The Position

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing has opportunities Part-time & Full-time Cooks to join their team! Shift available: E/O weekend, every Thursday and coverage as needed The Cook is responsible for prepping and preparing food for residents and staff. Nursing Home experience preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have general cooking knowledge
• 2 years of cooking experience
• Must be able to follow production sheets and standardized recipes

Nice To Haves

• Nursing Home experience preferred
• Experience in a healthcare setting helpful

Responsibilities

• Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
• Prepares nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as directed by Food Service Director and/or Supervisor.
• Properly cares for dietary equipment.
• Follows menus and special diet instructions.
• Takes food temperatures per policy and ensures food items are prepared, cooled, and stored according to corporate, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties are as assigned by the director or supervisor.
