We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team at a large senior living community in Sun City, Arizona. Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of cooking experience in a similar role
- Current Food Handler Certification required
- Clean background check
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes accurately
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and varying schedules as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience preparing meals for large groups preferred
- Knowledge of special diets and senior nutrition is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient food service department
- Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals according to established menus and recipes
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Demonstrate proficiency in food production techniques while consistently meeting quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure exceptional dining experiences for residents
