Responsibilities include washing and cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness in cooking and serving areas, and maintaining proper labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery. The cook will prepare and provide high-quality and safe food, work collaboratively with internal customers requiring excellent communication and teamwork skills, and adapt to a dynamic culinary environment. Adherence to standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines is crucial for food preparation and storage. The role involves documenting HACCP steps, temperatures, and outcomes, and operating various kitchen equipment. The position requires the ability to work independently, an understanding of food safety and sanitation, basic math skills for measuring, and proficiency in reading and understanding recipes. Physical requirements include standing for the majority of the day and walking significant distances within the hospital.
