About The Position

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Full Time Cook. The Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food items for patients, cafeteria and catering, with emphasis on quality. This role requires adherence to strict sanitation guidelines set by the State of Florida Health Department and demonstrating Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED preferred. Work experience may substitute for each year of education.
  • Knowledge of modified diets and training in food service sanitation.
  • Must possess a food service sanitation certificate.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in Institutional or quantity cooking.
  • Serv Safe certificate.
