Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services or Dietary Manager, the Cook is responsible for preparation and delivery of all foods for residents, guests and employees. This role involves preparing meals according to menus and production sheets, ensuring proper food handling techniques, and adhering to daily schedules. The Cook will also prepare specialty diets, make necessary menu substitutions, and participate in special occasion meals. Compliance with provincial/municipal regulations, dietary department policies, and health and safety legislation is essential. The position requires working with vulnerable adults and upholding the organization's values.
