About The Position

The company is looking for a skilled and experienced Cook to work on a part-time basis at the Courtyard Pittsburgh location, preparing high-quality food items for guests in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with culinary training or certification an advantage
• Have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles
• Be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues
• Possess excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Be physically able to lift, carry, and move kitchen equipment and supplies, as required
• Have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menu requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery
• Monitor and control food inventory, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels
• Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the culinary offering
