About The Position

The Cook prepares food that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards of this community. Prepares all foods to meet quantity and deadline requirements. Able to effectively manage all food production in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible schedules to include nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Have a general understanding of Healthcare Regulations.
  • This position requires compliance with Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening process.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in fine dining is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner.
  • Determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours.
  • Prepares all special dietary needs as directed by the menus.
  • Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld at all times.
  • Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
  • Tastes and prepares food to determine quality.
  • Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
  • Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
