Requirements

Has a passion for cooking and preparing quality meals
Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment
Takes pride in food presentation and customer service
Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and food safety practices
Is dependable and adaptable to a variety of kitchen settings
Graduate of culinary school or have 1 to 2 years cooking experience in a health care setting, restaurant or dining facility.

Nice To Haves

Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, hotel, or institutional setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
Setting up and organizing your workstation before meal service
Cooking menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
Preparing ingredients and planning for upcoming meal periods
Maintaining proper food labeling, dating, rotation, and storage
Following all food safety and sanitation procedures
Safely operating commercial kitchen equipment
Communicating inventory needs and product concerns with the Chef on Duty
Completing cleaning and closing duties
Working collaboratively with fellow cooks and dining team members to provide an exceptional dining experience
