About The Position

The Ohio Deaf and Blind Education Services supports the unique instructional and environmental needs of our deaf and blind students while furthering a vision of cohesion and collaboration. This role is primarily located at the Ohio State School for the Blind with the possibility of work at the Ohio School for the Deaf. The position works according to the school year calendar, Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Requirements

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division
• 3 months training or 3 months experience in food preparation, sanitation & storage & use of food service equipment in institutional, school or restaurant setting.
• Equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
• Job Skills: Food Services, Attention to Detail, Organizing and Planning, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Time Management

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food
• Maintains food preparation standards
• Maintains foodstuffs and kitchen supplies
• Collaborates with the team
• Adheres to federal, state, and local sanitary requirements
