About The Position
The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. CareOne is hiring for Full-Time, Part-Time & Per Diem opportunities across multiple shifts. The Cook will prepare meals that delight and advance their career while enjoying life and making a difference. CareOne believes in making the dining experience both healthy and enjoyable for residents through a signature dining program, which includes personalized menu choices, tableside cooking and more.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Strong customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility.
Responsibilities
- Preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Following established policies and procedures.
- Assuring quality food service is provided at all times as directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services.
- Cooking a variety of foods in large quantities.
